Msi afterburner 3 0 1

MSI Afterburner with their 3080: The (3) FTW3 fans can be controlled in MSI afterburner! The only strange issue I ran into is that the fan % in MSI afterburner does not match EVGA. Example when I set MSI AB Fan to 50%, it reads out 25% on EVGA X1. The good news is the delta between the two gets smaller. example is when you go to 90% on MSI, it reads around 80 on EVGA. at 100%, EVGA is 100% fan speed. The the RPM amounts do match in both software which is good. So if you are looking to control all 3 fans with the same curve, you can do so with MSI AB. I use Afterburner for Overlay to display FPS in games. My understanding is that you can control the fan curves with Afterburner but it will apply to the three fans, meanwhile in EVGA Software it seems you'll be able to control each fan's curve separately if needed (not sure why but you could). Also, you'll still need EVGA's software at first launch to select the led colors and such, but it's saved (maybe to the GPU itself ? Or at least into the computer which remembers your settings regarding RGB) and once you're done you don't need to run the software ever again if you don't want to. Plus, features like iCX sensors and such won't be available on Afterburner, obviously. Interesting. I read that MSI AB only can control 1 fan of the 3. If I can make 1 fan curve to control all of them, then thats all I need. I guess I will play around

I got it today and I am also using MSI AB, when I setup the fan curve, for some reason the third fan, the most out one under power connectors just ramps up and down, it is not audible, but visible. Also I have noticed when I reboot my PC or wake it up from sleep that same fan is running while the others aren't even though no software is running - not Precision or MSI AB. Anyone else experiencing this?
